SPA FAQS

What time should I arrive?
Please arrive approximately 15 minutes prior to your scheduled service time to give yourself enough time to complete a short intake form and change into a robe. If you arrive late, your wellness provider may need to shorten your service in order to stay on time for their next guest.

What should I wear?
If you are receiving a massage or body treatment, you will be given a locker, robe, and spa slippers or sandals. You should undress to your level of comfort – many guests choose to undress completely and others choose to leave on their underwear. Either way, please keep in mind that you will be draped for privacy throughout your treatment.

May I request the gender of my massage therapist?
Yes. Please feel free to specify if you have a gender preference for your massage therapist. We will make every effort to accommodate your request.

What is the cancellation policy?
To cancel or move your appointment without penalty, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice during business hours. Appointments canceled or moved with less notice will be charged 50% of the service price. No-shows will be charged the full-service price.

What is expected of me during my treatment?
Please keep in mind that your time at Spa Space is about YOU, and your wellness provider wants to know if you are uncomfortable in any way. Communicate with your wellness provider if you experience any pain or if you would like them to adjust pressure or technique. Otherwise, feel free to remain silent and drift off during your service – this will not offend your wellness provider!

What sort of training do your technicians have?
All of our wellness providers are hand-selected for their customer service skills as well as the high quality of their technique. Each is also licensed and certified in accordance with all applicable state and city laws.

What should I do with my valuables?
To the extent possible, leave them at home. While you will be given a locker, we do not recommend that you leave valuables in it. If you are concerned about a particular item, please keep it with you. Please remember to check your robe pockets before you leave.

How many guests can you accommodate at once?
We can perform 25 services at any given time, and up to 100 guests in a 2-3 hour period. If you are interested in planning a group event, please contact a group event coordinator, events@spaspace.com.

Do you sell gift certificates online or by phone?
Yes, gift certificates for Spa Space can be purchased online or in Spa and may be redeemed indefinitely. All gift certificates can be used towards any product or service. Gift certificates may not be refunded or redeemed for cash. Gift certificates must be presented at checkout and do not expire.

What forms of payment do you accept?
Cash, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, and Traveler’s Checks. Personal checks are not accepted.

Do you serve wine or other alcohol?
Due to City of Chicago regulations, unfortunately, we are unable to serve wine or alcohol. You are welcome to bring your own. Keep in mind that we do reserve the right to refuse service to intoxicated individuals for your own safety, as some of our services increase the effects of alcohol. Also, keep in mind that alcohol will not be served past closing time. Glassware and openers are available for your use.

Do you have shower/steam facilities?
We have men’s and women’s locker rooms with private rain showers and steam showers. All guests receiving either a massage, facial, or body treatment are welcome to use our showers either before or after receiving service. Remember to arrive early if you would like to shower first!

Where should I park?
Valet parking is available in front of the spa during business hours, except Saturdays and Sundays. Street parking is usually plentiful on weekends but can be challenging on weekdays. Multiple self-park lots are also nearby.
